SCT-AURequested Content Request submissions for new concepts and descriptions have been added in this release from Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
AMTIHIN UpdateAs part of the NCTS July 2025 release, updates have been made to the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) to reflect the end of the extended Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) International Harmonisation of Ingredient Names (IHIN) dual labelling period, which concluded on 30 April 2025.
The following ingredient names have been updated to their sole names, consistent with international naming conventions:
Dosulepin hydrochloride
Hydroxycarbamide
Tetracaine 
Tetracaine hydrochloride
Trihexyphenidyl hydrochloride

Future changes

SCT-AU EDRSWith the release of the new Australian emergency department reference set as of January 2019, there are plans to deprecate the original Emergency Department Reference (EDRS) set in a forthcoming release. Current users of the EDRS will be consulted prior to confirming the deprecation date.
