About us

The National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS), operated by the Australian Digital Health Agency, is responsible for managing, developing and distributing national clinical terminologies and related tools and services.

Our vision is to simplify the adoption and meaningful use of clinical terminologies. We work with the Australian healthcare community to support digital health requirements. Together, this will improve the delivery of healthcare.

We are the Australian National Release Centre for SNOMED CT^® on behalf of SNOMED International. We publish SNOMED CT-AU and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT). We also distribute other terminology products under licence.

Our tools and services include:

• Online browser
• Mapping and authoring platform
• National Syndication Server.
