Important information – Change notification for the release of SNOMED CT-AU containing AMT (version 4)
May 6, 2024
The Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) model has been significantly revised to version 4. This will be available from the September 2024 release with the last SNOMED CT-AU containing AMT (version 3) being August 2024.
Since the first release of the current AMT model (v3), there have been changes to the SNOMED RF2 specification, and the introduction of the SNOMED International Drug model. Better integration with SNOMED CT enables streamlining of content and a substantial enhancement to the AMT, such improved interoperability with international systems and data, and new clinical use capabilities through therapeutic roles for medicine products.
For details on all the changes and access to test files for SNOMED CT-AU containing AMT (version 4), please visit SNOMED CT-AU beta testing files. The content is also available in the Shrimp browser by selecting AU (Experimental) – Latest from the version dropdown menu.
