What we do
Watch this short (2 minute) to understand more about clinical terminology and the National Clinical Terminology Service.
Clinical terminologies we support
Used in over 90 countries, SNOMED CT is becoming the global language of healthcare in clinical software. We provide access to SNOMED CT-AU and AMT (the subset of the Australian edition relating to medicines).
LOINC is an international standard for identifying health measurements, observations and documents. We provide access to LOINC through Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and other formats.
The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) Standardised Pathology Informatics in Australia (SPIA) terminology reference set and information model standardises and improves the recording, decision support, communication and analysis of pathology in Australia.
We provide access to over 50 code systems that may be used in clinical software to support administrative sections of medical records such as occupations, the Australian Immunisation Register and valid reasons for null values.
